The "G6 Shortener" is a stainless steel chain that has a high chromium concentration (approximately 22%) and is said to be more corrosion-resistant than SUS316. It excels in pitting corrosion resistance and is also strong against stress corrosion cracking, which has been problematic with austenitic steels like SUS304 and SUS316. It is said to reach a pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) of 33 or higher, providing resistance to normal seawater.
